Many of you already know this, and I don't know why it's taken me so long to post: but, yes, Brian and I are going to have a baby. This is the first picture we've taken of the whole process, so I thought I'd put it up since my belly's finally poking out. I'm a little over 5 months along and due in June. We're very excited, and not finding out if it's a boy or girl. A little while ago I thought it'd be funny to have a blog contest on naming the baby, but was a little scared of what may turn up. My dad keeps saying things like "Clay" if it's a boy. Yeah right.
Anyway, things are going well in the studio. Last week many of our Circle of Eight participated in the "Treasures of the Earth" show in Shelby, NC. The opening was fun- lots of people and great food. Tomorrow is the grand opening of Lark and Key, a new gallery in NODA that Julie, Jen and I are in- it's beautiful. They promise to have lots of people and great food there too (is there a pattern forming here?)- and a DJ. Should be a good time!

Look at the cute little belly. You don't even look 5 months...good for you Amy! I wanted to name one of the girls Clay but Joey would'nt let me...so I have a cat named Clayton. Its hard to name your first children. One day I'll tell you how we came apon Quaid.
Happy "funfetti day"! jen
DOUBLE WORD! Great news! Congrats to you both! Niel is an excellent name for a boy or girl. Then, their whole life they get to say, "No, it's not NEIL...Neal...Neville...Niez...
Niles...Miles...Neilh...Nigel...
Niley...." Let me know and, just for y'all, I'll waive the nominal fee to use my name. Happy Valentines Day...Everyday's the 14th!
Neal you are a whack job!
Cute pic Amy.
Sarah's already told me I can't name any kid of ours Hamada. Damn.
For a girl I like Polly Ester Sanders.
Ron, you're as bad as my dad.
Niel, thanks for the waived fee. The name'll go on the list.
How about Bernard? Little Bernie Sanders. Sarah has told me no to Bernard too. Shimoka is out too, and Betty (for B. Woodman) is just too old fashioned. Maybe Clary. Or Kaolin. Or Grog. Or Treadle.
Hmmm. Clary and Kaolin could work nicely for a girl. Though Polly Ester is stretching it a bit. (Funny tho'. Ron) Grog is a great name if you decide to get a dog. And Treadle works well for felines maybe?
You're looking lovely, Amy! Angelina's "bump" doesn't hold a candle to yours!
Amy - I just found your blog. Congrats on the baby news!! That's very exciting!
