No, I'm not pregnant again (although based on the past few years of my life, that would be a fair guess)! I have an instructional DVD coming out! The wonderful Potter's Council invited me up to their headquarters in Columbus, OH this past summer to record some of my techniques. Over the course of a few days we prepped, filmed and laughed a lot. The gang up there is great!
The DVD is organized to cover 5 different surface techniques and then 5 corresponding projects, along with multiple variations of each. The Ceramic Arts Daily site recently featured a sample clip from the dvd. Check it out here.

Amy, I recently watched ALL 5 hours of the DVD set before we began preparing it for replication. Never a dull moment! I think you're really going to like how it turned out.

so freakin' cool.
Tweeting this!
Amy, Many congratulations on all of your pottery success. Your work is so interesting to look at, and is very inspirational to us novice potters. Thanks for sharing your time and your very creative ideas! Best wishes for a healthy and happy 2012. Lori Langford, www.bigdogpots.net .
Hi Amy, I recently got your DVD set and love it. You teach extremely well. I have found so much useful material in the instruction. I have already made several of those wheel tools and I had fun using several today. Thanks and good luck with the DVD's I hope they are wildly successful for you!
Amy,
I am a new potter and your work greatly inspires me. I started with a wheel class but know that is not where my heart is. My triggers are hand forming and lots of texture. I have watched the first two DVDs and cannot wait to see the others. Then, I am anxious to start applying what I learned and practicing your techniques. Thank you so much for sharing!

Just got your DVD, love it. You have a winner! You have so many great ideas and unlike other DVD's it is easy to listen to. Thank you for sharing your awesome techniques, I can't wait to try them.
I thought I would share with you an idea I have, I use my old MRI's and X-ray's and use them for my templates. They work so well and can be used forever.
Love your pottery and can't wait for another one of your DVD's.

Amy, I have got to say, You are one of the best instructors around. I attended your Claymakers, Durham, NC workshop and have seen demos of yours on Ceramic Arts Daily. I am excited to hear about your DVD.I'll check it out and spread the word, too:)
Amy, very, very good DVDs. I watched the full set. Outstanding.
Now my question: how do you get your earthy colours? Any hints?
I just got your DVD and loved it. I'm so excited to start making stamps of my own and using the dowel method. I have done that for sculpting heads, but never thought of using it as an alternative to throwing. Thanks! Lisa
Very nice, thanks for the information.
Oh that will be perfect for me! I can't wait!
